Preparing footage for analysis

Prepare the video you want to analyze and animate with FCS. In general, any footage that clearly shows the actor’s face can be used.

  • Orientation: Both portrait and landscape footage can be analyzed.

  • Resolution: Avoid using extremely low-resolution footage (480p or below).

  • Filming environment: Record in a well-lit location whenever possible.

  • Motion blur: For action scenes or other fast-moving footage, use a camera with a high frame-rate setting. Reducing motion blur improves accuracy.

No dedicated camera is required. A wide range of commercially available cameras can be used, including the following:

  • Commercially available head-mounted cameras

  • Fixed cameras other than head-mounted cameras (video cameras, webcams, GoPro cameras, iPhones, Android devices, etc.)

A license key is required to use FCS.
A free one-month trial license is also available.
