Releases & Upgrades

*Updated on February 27, 2026
Starting from 2026, the FCS release cycle has changed from quarterly updates to semi-annual updates (twice a year) in April and October.

1. Scheduled Releases (Major Versions)

Major version releases, including new feature additions and algorithm updates/changes, are scheduled twice a year in April and October.
By consolidating the release frequency, we aim to further stabilize the quality of each version.

2. Fixes via Minor Versions

Once a major version is released, no major updates involving feature additions will be made until the next scheduled release.
Minor version updates (e.g., 25.10.01 and onward) for minor improvements such as UI changes, and bug fixes will be released as needed.

Upgrading FCS

We have discontinued the product version tiers (Standard/LTS/Preview) that were based on support status.
Currently, we have unified the format to simplify operations and provide the latest updates.

Compatibility

FCS sessions are forward-compatible unless otherwise noted.
However, backward compatibility is not always guaranteed, especially between major versions (e.g., 25.07 and 25.10).
Sessions created with an older version of FCS can be opened in a newer version, but once a session has been opened in a newer version, it may no longer be openable in an older version.
Therefore, please make sure to back up your files before migrating to a new version.

Within the same major version (e.g., 25.10.01 to 25.10.04), we strive to maintain backward compatibility as much as possible, but it is not guaranteed.
Additionally, when multiple users share the same FCS session, we recommend that the entire team uses the same minor version of FCS.

Upgrade Procedure

  1. Export your session data.

  2. Open the exported data using the newly downloaded version of FCS.
